Scholarships for Full Time Students
Either of the following will allow a student to qualify
a. A minimum of 5 BGCSE’s with a grade of A, B or C
b. At least one year of college with a cumulative GPA or 2.0 or better
c. A grade of 50% in our placement examination.
Rules of Scholarship
1. Scholarship is only tenable at Professional Certifications Bahamas
2. Tuition fees of Professional Certifications Bahamas are B$6,000 for the full time Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Programme and B$15,000 for the full ACCA programme including the CAT.
3. Students must enroll as a Certified Accounting Technician student
4. Students must pay B$3,000 before August 1st, 2011 once they have been awarded a scholarship. They will then be enrolled for full time study for the CAT programme and awarded a $3,000 to complete.
5. In order to maintain scholarship students must score a minimum of 50% in every examination. Students who are successful in all their CAT examinations the first time around will maintain their scholarship when they transfer to the ACCA programme with the same rules. Students who did not maintain this scholarship may be entitled to an Accounting Excellence Award if they meet that criteria.
6. Students are allowed up to 3 years to complete their examinations.
7. All examinations for the Certified Accounting Technician are to be completed in 1 year
8. All ACCA examinations must be completed in 2 years.
9. CAT students must complete all examinations within 12 months of beginning the programme.
10. ACCA students must take no less than 3 examinations in each examination cycle
11. All students must attend classes on a full time basis
12. Students must attend and complete ALL classes and be punctual
13. Students must complete all assignments and submit them when required to do so.
14. Students must be residents or citizens of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas
